First of all, welcome to my corner of the internet. I’m a lifelong explorer traveling between very different worlds: value investing, decentralized finance security, backend software engineering, Clojure the programming language and e-commerce.
Currently, my focus is analyzing and reporting on US equities and the US debt situation. I particularly like looking at businesses and the economy through the value investors’ lens like Buffett/Munger/Graham/Dodd.
I worked in the dirty dungeon of decentralized finance security at http://0xmacro.com. That is to say, I find security vulnerabilities in these decentralized financial apps (example) that safeguard users’ fund with software and software only. So the money is only safe if the software is correct. One time, I found vulnerabilities in an app has $60M under management.
I worked in what is by now 1M plus employee company that is Amazon, on their anti-money-laundering compliance program swinging Clojure code on the daily and having fun. I also worked on pushing product recommendations on amazon.com to shoppers. We saw revenue changes of about $20M with a rather small change in how we recommend products and it felt empowering to be trusted to do a job like that.
